Established on January 11, 2019. The founder, Lise Laleau Dommercant, a hospice nurse, assisted a patient in December 2018. The patient's daughter, Anuiska Mohan, now the vice president of Haiti Care 1, asked Ms. Dommercant about the ongoing recovery in Haiti since the earthquake in 2010. Ms. Dommercant gave Ms. Mohan a brief report. Ms. Mohan shared that she helped Haiti with her contribution during that time. The founder told Ms. Mahon that she was planning a missionary trip to Haiti in July of 2019. Ms. Mahon was excited about this and eagerly exclaimed that she would love to help raise money for the trip. The founder set up an appointment to meet with her a few weeks later.
In the year of 1986 a new life began in the United States as an immigrant. She quickly discovered her path and continued to help others, but through medicine. From home health aid (1989) to Certified Nursing Assistant (1991) to Licensed Practical Nurse (2000) to Registered Nurse (2008) to Bachelor Degree in Nursing (2019) she had completed her own personal goals in the medical field. She didn't want to stop there, she knew there was more in God's plans for her to do for the Haitian people in the USA and back home. In January 2019 Haiti Care 1 Non Profit 501 (c)(3) that aims to help the Haitian People with Medical Supplies and Human needs with God being in the center was launched.
